Rose Elizabeth Hay (my grandmother) passed away on Thursday, May 15 shortly after 5:30 PM. She was 90 years old and passed away just seven months after her husband.
She was the epitome of a lady. I have very fond memories of her, especially in her last days as Karen and I would visit her once to twice a year. She got to enjoy my special dish of Salmon each time I was down there. She had an infectious laugh that I will never forget. My grandmother was a very special woman, and she will be deeply missed. However, I know that she is in a better place – gloriously transformed and completely whole!
I had the privilege to lead a special remembrance service in memory of her life and legacy. Below is a video presentation that I put together of her pictures, the message I delivered at the service, and the original worship song that I opened up with. Even if you never met my grandmother, I believe the video presentation conveys properly the legacy she left behind and the impact she had on those around her.
