Jonathan is growing into a little boy right before our very eyes. I know every parent says that and, yes, let us be cliche, it is happening to us too. It is amazing to see him develop. I remember when he was able to walk under my desk while I was working without bumping his head. Now, he has to bend over and crawl to play under my desk at my feet.
We had his 18-month check-up today and he is in the 77% for his height, 50% for his weight, and 1% for his head. That’s normal for his head, though. It keeps growing and developing, so the doctor is not concerned. He weighs 26.2lbs. It seems that just a little while ago he was 6lbs and could be held in one arm between my wrist and elbow. Now he’s walking, trying to run, speaking a few words and developing his own little personality.
Speaking of his personality, Jonathan loves to play outside! He loves pushing around his little red wagon and hitting balls with his t-ball set. We bought him a riding 4-wheeler for his 1-year birthday, but it was too big for him. I brought it out a month ago and he didn’t know what to think about it. Well, today, he went off on it. It was amazing. It was his first time driving the 4-wheeler for an extended amount of time by himself. Of course, we captured it on video for your viewing enjoyment!
