Today, Jonathan turned 2. We decided to take Jonathan to Monkey Joe’s (a place for kids to play on inflatable bouncers). So, Jonathan and his cousin, Jeremiah, spent an hour and a half running around, climbing, and sliding. Daddy helped Jonathan with some of the climbing but for the most part he caught on pretty quickly. Monkey Joe’s is a great place for little boys with lots of energy! 🙂 After coming down one slide, Jonathan landed on the floor and got a bloody nose and busted lip. But, after cleaning up, our tough little boy was back to playing as if it never happened.
Later, we met up with some family at Chick-Fil-A for lunch. After a call earlier that morning, CFA graciously set up a table for us with balloons and plush cows for the kids. We sang Happy Birthday to Jonathan and enjoyed some chocolate cupcakes Daddy made. Yummy! Jonathan wasn’t too sure about the candles so Mommy had to blow them out for him. Next, Jonathan opened his presents and he turned out to be quite the pro at tearing open the wrapping paper! It was fun to see Jonathan enjoying himself and we were so glad to make the day special for him!
