Joshua was dedicated today at 12Stone Church (Hamilton Mill) in front of his family there as witnesses of his dedication.
As parents, we were asked to write a short letter to Joshua about the person we desire for him to become. From the moment Joshua was born, he always had an infectious smile. Karen nicknamed him “smiley”. A secondary meaning of Joshua is “The Lord is generous”. Generosity was a recurring theme the year he was born. It is our prayer that Joshua’s heart be generous with love that is steeped in a personal relationship with Jesus. Essentially, his life mission would be to make bright the salvation and compassion of Jesus through demonstrating a life that expresses His generosity. We expressed these thoughts in a dedication letter.

At the dedication, Grandpa and Grandma Hay wrote a letter to Joshua as well. Grandpa Telander prayed for Joshua.
Lastly, the campus pastor prayed for Joshua and read the meaning of his name to the people.
